Nancy M. Lorah, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away March 24, 2024 at her second home of Cedarbrook Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Lorah. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Violet Richards. She retired as a pharmaceutical technician from Rite Aid. She will be deeply missed.
Donald G. Lynch, 67, of Saylorsburg, passed away November 11, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the dedicated husband of 21 years to Sharon M. (Kelley) Lynch. Born in Easton, Don was the son of the late Donald F. and Genevieve (Calcagnetti) Lynch. Don graduated from Wilson High School and then obtained his Associates Degree in Accounting from NCC. In his early years Don enjoyed participating in the Easton Pigeon Club. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. Don appreciated nature and wildlife, working in his yard and garden, watching the local deer and was very knowledgeable about caring for chickens and ducks. He will be deeply missed.
James W. Laczo, 71, of Bethlehem, passed away November 10, 2022. He was the son of the late Helen (Lysek) and Alfred J. Laczo Sr. James was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church. He worked for many years as a mail clerk and printer. James was a member of the Black Diamond Model Railroad Club and enjoyed doing photography. He will be deeply missed.
Dorothy “Dot” E. (DiStalio) Loturco, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away September 26, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late John L. Loturco. Born in White Marsh Twp, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Sophie (Kunyk) DiStalio. She graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School. Dot worked in the Lehigh University Admissions office and then for Weidlinger’s Printers Associates. She was an active member of SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church where she served as a lector, cantor, Eucharistic Minister, was part of the 55+ Friends club and the Seniors group, sang in the adult & funeral choirs and the Folk Group. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Manor, was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the former Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. Dot promoted retreats and days of recollection at the Dominican Retreat House and the St. Francis Center for Renewal. She volunteered for Becahi’s Women’s Assoc. & band parents, the Christmas City Fair, Musikfest, Christkindlmart, sang in the 250th 1000 Member Choir and the Bethlehem Steel Choir. When she was not volunteering for her church, or enjoying her family, her favorite activities were reading, and sending cards and notes to family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Juliette A. (Alvarez) Laury, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away April 13, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Richard E. Laury. Born in Las Cruces, NM she was the daughter of the late Demetrio and Lita (Telles) Alvarez. Juliette had worked on the military base at White Sands Missile Range, Las Cruces, NM for a few years and then for Bethlehem Steel, Allen Electric and for Piercing Pagoda’s office. She was a passionate water color artist. She showed most of her work in the Lehigh Valley. Juliette was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed sewing, ran senior bus trips and had volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. She will be deeply missed.
Calvin K. Longenbach Jr., 89, of Bethlehem, passed away December 24, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Kay A. (Miller) Longenbach. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Calvin and Hallie (Heckman) Longenbach. Calvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Frie Hoffer & Gaf Cement Plant. Calvin was a member of Lehigh Valley Grace Brethren Church and their Senior Club. He previously had been a Lehigh Little League Coach and was a Head Umpire. He was a member of the Local #691 and the Tarkett Union. He will be deeply missed.
Richard E. Laury, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away March 1, 2021. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Juliette A. (Alvarez) Laury. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Ruth (Ziegenfuss) Laury. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and then his Master’s degree from Lehigh University. Richard retired from the Bethlehem Area School District as an Elementary School Principal. He was a dedicated member of SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Richard was a volunteer for LVH- Muhlenberg Recovery Room for many years. He enjoyed swimming, playing tennis in Bethlehem on Thursdays and joining his fellow retired principal friends on Tuesday’s at the Oasis for the “Oatmeal Gang” breakfast. Richard had a green thumb and especially enjoyed tending to his tomato plants and roses. He was a fan of college football and March Madness. Richard enjoyed spending time with his friends and his family was his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed.
