George S. Skoutelas, Sr., 77, of Fountain Hill, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of 40 years to Elsie G. (Mesaros) Skoutelas. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Stephanos and Kathleen (Applegate) Skoutelas. George graduated from Fountain Hill High School. He was an owner/ partner and head baker of Vallos Bakery for over 40 years. He was also a Mason of Lodge 673. George was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by many.
Survivors:
Wife- Elsie; Sons- Stephan, Thomas and George Skoutelas, Robert Rotz Jr., William Rotz; Daughters- Sherry Skoutelas, Georgina Skoutelas-Kern and husband- Justin Kern; Many Grandchildren and a Great Grandchild; Sisters- Maria and husband- Emmanuel Sossiadis, Margaret and husband Constantine Zumas. He was predeceased by son- Gavin, brothers- Constantine “Gus” and Nicholas.
A viewing will be held on Monday 10-11AM with a service at 11AM in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 W. Union Blvd Bethlehem. Burial to follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Downing Funeral Home, Inc.

Audrey Stair
Audrey B. Stair 84, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 13, 2016. Audrey was the wife of Calvin Stair and they shared 64 wonderful years together. Born in Wilkes Barre, Audrey was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Davis) Bristol. Audrey was an assembler for the former AT&T of Allentown until her retirement. Audrey loved to bowl and was a member of the Pioneer's Volunteer Network.
Surviving with her husband Calvin is her son Robert and her granddaughter Julie of Bethlehem. She was preceded in death by her six siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 in Downing Funeral Home at 1002 W. Broad Street in Bethlehem at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
Jeffrey Santana
Jeffrey Alan Santana, 54, of Northampton, passed away April 25, 2016. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Doris M. (Rockel) Santana and the late Gregorio C. Santana. Jeff served in the U.S. Army National Guard for over 8 years. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for many years, previously owned R&D Automotive, and currently worked as a field operations manager for AAA. In his spare time Jeff enjoyed riding his Harley, but above all else, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family.

Nicholas and Evangelista Marte and her husband Domingo Marte; “The Wife”- Kelly Bateman; Ex Wife and Mother of his Children- Mary Potkovac; Step-Children- Kylie and Cameron Kantner. He was predeceased by his brother- Michael P. Rockel.

Maynard Strohm
Maynard “Bob” V. Strohm, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away February 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of 68 years to Dorothy A. (Huber) Strohm. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Howard and Esther (Reinhardt) Strohm. He served in the US Army during WWII. Maynard worked for Western Electric for 40 years. He was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and the Bell Telephone Pioneers of America. He also volunteered for Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg’s Emergency Room.

Wife; Children- Jeffrey Strohm and companion Beverly Ferguson of Bethlehem, Robert Strohm and wife Marialouisa of Bethlehem, Josanne Fries and husband Donald of Berwick, Thomas Strohm and wife Patricia of Bethlehem Twp, Sallyann Laidacker and husband Jeffrey of Lower Nazareth; Grandchildren- Heather Strohm, Jacob Ferguson, Brent Strohm, Courtney Taggart, Stephanie Alicea , Ugo Bolognesi, Donald Fries, Benjamin Fries, Alexandria Fries, Daniel Strohm, Allison Strohm, Chole Birk, Jacob Birk, Seth Laidacker, and Ethan Laidacker; Great Grandchildren- Skylar Taggart, Cameron Taggart, Giovanni Garcia and Natalee Alicea. He was predeceased by daughter- Loriann Tarsi, grandchildren- Bradley Strohm and Jacqueline Fries, sister- Lorriane Ross and brother- Jerol Strohm.

Lorraine L. Sappelli
Lorraine L. (Berger) Sappelli, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away February 13, 2016. She was the loving wife of Richard Sappelli. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Lillian L. (Kunkle) and Clinton P. Berger. Lorraine graduated from Lehighton High School in 1954 and then from the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Allentown Hospital, Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and then for Paterson General in Paterson, NJ. Lorraine was a member of St. Thomas UCC and a lifetime member of Allentown School of Nursing Alumni Association.

Husband- Richard Sappelli, Daughter- Caryn Ann Sappelli of Lexington, KY, Son- Robert John Sappelli of Butler, NJ and Nieces & Nephews.

Eleanor Streletzky
Eleanor Galassi Streletzky, of Bethlehem, peacefully died of congestive heart failure in the home of her daughter Barbara S. Bishop of Virginia Beach, VA, on December 30, 2015. She was 82 years old.
Eleanor was known for her loving, generous heart and her vibrant, independent spirit. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Ernesto and Angelina (Amodeo) Galassi. She graduated from Catherine McAuley High School, and briefly attended Brooklyn College. She then worked as a clerk for the Department of Justice in New York City where she met her husband Donald C. Streletzky. Together with her husband Don, she raised four daughters who all graduated from college and had professional careers of which she was extremely proud. After raising her children, Eleanor worked for Service Electric as a Customer Service Representative until her retirement.
Eleanor was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church for more than 50 years. She was a religious education instructor, a Eucharistic Minister and a member of various religious and social organizations including Cursillo and the 55+ Club. She was also a long-time member of the Bethlehem Women’s Golf League. She enjoyed visiting the casinos and playing poker with friends, attending plays and the opera, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Streletzky, and her daughter Linda P. Kaintz. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn D. Streletzky of Sacramento, CA, daughter Donna A. Streletzky and son-in-law Kenneth R. Geckle and granddaughters Bethany S. and Emily S. Geckle of Camden, DE, and daughter Barbara S. Bishop and grandson Nicholas S. Bishop and granddaughter Gabriella S. Bishop of Virginia Beach, VA.
Services for Eleanor will be held on Saturday, January, 9, 2016, visitation from 10 am to 11 am with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM all in Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment at Holy Saviour immediately following the mass. Arrangements care of Downing Funeral Home, Inc.

Elsie Seagreaves
Elsie M. (Raubenhold) Seagreaves, 90, of Allentown, passed away June 9, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late William Hutter Sr. until his passing in 1944 and then to the late Robert Seagreaves until his passing in 1978. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lilly (Hartman) Raubenhold. Elsie retired from ECCO Communications Co. She was a member of St. Marks U.C.C., the Fearless Fire Co, the Franklin Fire Co and Jordan A.C. Elsie was previously a volunteer at Lehigh Valley Hospital 17 th & Chew Sts and for activities at B'Nai B'Rith.
Survivors: Son- William J. Hutter and wife Linda of Catasauqua, 3 Granddaughters- Michelle Davis, Lisa Panarelli and Nichole McMongle; 6 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews

Ruth D. (Vasquez) Sciarra, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away December 26, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony C. Sciarra Jr. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Florence Vasquez. Ruth was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.
