Lucille R. (Kotran) Ring, 88, of Allentown passed away February 4th 2020. She was loving wife of the late Robert Ring. Born in January 1932, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve (Seng) and Paul Kotran. She graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School. Lucille worked for many years at Macy’s Dept. Store, Levine’s, and Sheridan School.
Anne M. Rozum, 95, of Sacred Heart Senior Living Center Valley, formerly of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Fort Myers, Florida and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019. Anne was the widow of Dr. Joseph I. Rozum who passed away in 1978. Anne was born in Garnerville, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph Slosarcik and Mary (Petrus) Slosarcik of Gary, Indiana. Anne was a graduate of St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Gary, Indiana. Anne was a registered nurse while residing in Gary, Indiana before moving to Pennsylvania. Anne worked at Community General Hospital in Reading. She also worked with her husband, the late Dr. Joseph Rozum, at his Dental practice in Reading, Pennsylvania. Anne was very proud of her Slovak heritage and cooked many wonderful Slovak meals.
Richard Rodriguez, 47, of Bethlehem, passed away January 5, 2019. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of Edwin Rodriguez and Elizabeth (Huertas) Hothouse. He will be deeply missed and loved.
Valerie A. Rudolph, 45, of Slatington, passed away November 18, 2018. Born in Fountain Hill, she was daughter of Steven and Carol (Litzenberger) Rudolph. She was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church of Christ in Cherryville. Valerie enjoyed helping others and doing artwork such as coloring and drawing. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Nancy (McCandless) Rodriguez, 78, of Williams Twp, passed away June 4, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of 48 years, to Atahualpa “Tao” Rodriguez. Born in Hellertown, she was the daughter of the late George and Nancy (Moyer) McCandless. Nancy graduated from Hellertown High School and had attended Christian Assembly Ministries in Stewartsville, NJ. She enjoyed going to pools, Beltzville State Park and Seaside Heights. Nancy cherished her family and was always a welcoming hostess.
Felix L. Rodriguez, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away May 24, 2018. He was the loving husband of nearly 50 years to Maria M. (Olivo) Rodriguez. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Felix Rodriguez (103yrs old) and the late Isabel (Rivera) Rodriguez. Felix was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. He loved farming, fishing, the outdoors, baseball and playing the guitar.
Rita D. Rohrbach, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 28, 2018. She was the loving spouse of the late Edwin Rohrbach who preceded her on January 14, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, Rita was the daughter of the late Carlo and Antionette (Gentile) Tomassi. She was a devout member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Rita worked as a seamstress throughout her life at various garment factories, including Rosenthal’s in Philadelphia, Bethleon Togs in Bethlehem, and Casco in Hellertown. Even after retirement, she could always be found with a needle in her hand. Rita was a member of the “Busy Bee’s” and Senior Group at her church and loved to help out with various charitable fundraisers. She and her husband loved to travel. Surviving Rita are her sons: John of Naples, Fl, and Joseph and his wife Diane of Bethlehem. Rita is also survived by her five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, as well as her sister Rose Porto. She was preceded in death by her siblings Felix, Emily and Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:30 am in Ss. Simon and Jude Church, 730 W. Broad Street, Bethlehem. Calling hours will be from 10:30-11:30 am in the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in her memory to her church or St. Luke’s Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Downing Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.
Edwin R. Rohrbach, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away January 14, 2018. He was the loving husband of 43 years to Rita (Tomassi) DiRado Rohrbach. Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Eddie P. and Elsie I. (Groff) Rohrbach. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Edwin retired from the U.S. Postal service in 1990, after 27 years of service. He also worked part time for WLVT TV. He was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Edwin served as a past Union President of the Letter Carriers Union and the Rural Carriers Union. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catasauqua American Legion and the National Assoc. Retired Federal Employees.
