Jean N. (Pierson) Link, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on her birthday October 24, 2016. She was the loving wife of 59 years to Richard Link. Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Elva (Hinkle) Pierson. Jean graduated from St. Luke’s School of Nursing. Jean’s greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sons- Richard and Timothy Link, Grandson- David B. Link, Siblings- Albert and Elva Lychek.
A viewing will be held Friday 10-11AM with a service at 11AM in Downing Funeral Home, Inc. 1002 W. Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial Private at a later date.
Joseph M. Long, 85, of Las Vegas and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away January 28, 2016. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Angela (Simonetta) Long. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Irene (McIntyre) and Thomas Long. He served in the U.S. Army. Joseph worked for Bell and Howell for 27 years.
Survivors: Wife, Son- Joseph M. Long and wife Mary Beth of Las Vegas, 2 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Sister- Irene Roslin. He was predeceased by his son- John Long.

Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Friday at 10AM in Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Ave Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial to follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Marie A. Lund
Marie A. (Kotran) Lund, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away October 9, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late John Lund. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve (Seng) Kotran. Marie was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant and retired as an Administrator of Holy Family Manor after 27 years of service.

She was predeceased by her daughter- Judith Lund Pobuda and siblings- John, Robert and Richard Kotran and Barbara Turosey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:30AM in Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial will be Private at a later date in Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Harry J. Litsch, 88 of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. He and his wife, the former Mary Louise MacLean shared 62 years of marriage. He was born in Mahanoy City on October 12, 1925, a son of the late Harry T. and Martha (Bott) Litsch. Harry was devoted to God and his family. He was a member of Notre Dame Church of Bethlehem where he sang with both the Church and Resurrection choirs. He also enjoyed arranging and playing wind instruments in the Stealth Band and singing in the Beethoven Maennerchoir. He served his country in the Army during WWII and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1949. He retired after 33 years as a Senior Engineer from the former Western Electric and was past president of Electroplaters & Surface Finishers Society in Orlando, Florida. His pastimes included bass fishing and playing bridge and his passion were his daily lunches where he favored Mahoney's, Hanoverville Road House or the Main Street Depot. He was very social, and his specialty was hosting or attending parties. He was always seen with the perfect manhattan in his hand.
Survivors: His loving wife, Mary Louise, daughter, Martha L. Schumacher of Bethlehem; sons, Robert T. Litsch and wife Tina M. of Berlinsville and Richard H. Litsch and wife Ellen of Bethlehem. Grandchildren, Erik, Robert, Mary, Amanda, Julie and Nell; Great grandchildren, Kyle and Ayden.
Services: A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 10:00-10:45am in the church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Interment will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem or charity of ones choice. The Downing Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Carl Leh, Jr.
Carl H. Leh Jr., 88, of Bethlehem, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was the loving husband of almost 53 years to Carolyn M. (Williams) Leh. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Carl and Helen (Goddhart) Leh. Carl served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 40 years of service. Carl was a lifetime member of Rosemont Lutheran Church, in which he and Carolyn were also married. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan.

Kay A. (Miller) Longenbach, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Manor Care Bethlehem. She was the wife of over 59 years to Calvin K. Longenbach. Born in Frackville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Esther (Evans) Miller. Kay was retired from Holy Family Manor. She was a member of Lehigh Valley Grace Brethren Church. Kay was involved with the church’s Senior group and past member of the Lehigh Little League’s Ladies Auxiliary. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Dominic F. Leperi, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. He was the loving husband, of 59 years, to Patricia A. (Sabota) Leperi. Born in Hazelton, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mildred (Cusatis) Leperi. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Heavy Metal Crewman 1607. He earned the WWII Victor Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the European African Middle Eastrn Campaign Medal, and the Medal of Good Conduct. Dominic was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church. Dominic previously owned Leperi Cafe in Hazelton and then worked construction for Local #9 of Princeton, NJ, retiring in 1995. Survivors: Wife, Patricia A. Leperi; son, Dominic A. Leperi of Bethlehem; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings. Services: A calling time will be held on Wednesday, 11 to 1 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1 p.m. all in Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, 18015. Mary (Mount) Lind, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. She was the loving wife of 58 years to Richard “Dick” J. Lind. Born in Trenton, NJ she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Biddulph) Mount. Mary graduated from Cathedral High School in Trenton, NJ in 1946 and from the University of Mary Washington in Fredricksburg, VA in 1950 with a BA in History. She then graduated from Kutztown University in 1972 with her M.Ed. She worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. for 9 years and then became a teacher for the Diocese of Allentown for 34 years. She spent 22 years in Notre Dame of Bethlehem School and 12 years in Cathedral of St. Catherine of Sienna School. Mary represented all Elementary Lay teachers of the Diocese during the First Synod of the Diocese of Allentown. She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, the Serra Club of Bethlehem and the Catholic College Women. Mary served 4 years, as the first woman, on the Serra International Board of Trustees in Chicago, with 2 years as International Vice President. She served on the Sisters of St. Joseph Development Advisory Board for 9 years and 4 years as the co-chair of the board. She also served for 4 years as co-chair of the Development Advisory Board Executive Committee. She chaired the International Convention Committee for 2 years. She traveled to Canada, Mexico, Italy, England and Australia. She was a major speaker at conventions in the USA and Rome, Italy. She is a past District Governor and was the chairperson of the District Governor Planning and Training Conference for the east coast for 3 years, in Philadelphia. She was also the first Regional Representative for Region 3 for the US/ Canada Council. She was the Area Trustee for 14 Serra Districts, 47 Serra Clubs and over 1,200 Serrans, from Maine through North Carolina.
