Mary (Chernaskey) Kroboth, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away Sept. 5, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice at 17th & Chew St. She was the loving wife of the late Charles J. Kroboth Sr. They had married November 25, 1944. Born in Bethlehem on September 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Fannie (Orischak) Chernaskey. Mary was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem, where she had been involved with the church and school groups and activities. She loved sports and when she was younger played for the Armorettes Softball Team. Mary was a big Phillies, Eagles and Penn State Football Fan. She enjoyed family trips to Atlantic City Casinos. Survivors: Children, Gloria Ann Kroboth of Bethlehem Charles J. Kroboth Jr. of Bellefonte. Many other relatives. She was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Ann Anders and several siblings. Jane Karb
Jane L. (Lehr) Karb, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Karb. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Elroy and Stella Lehr. She graduated from Allen High School and received her Associates in Library Science from NCC. Jane was the Secretary for Notre Dame of Bethlehem School for 24 years before she retired. She was a member of Notre Dame of the Bethlehem Catholic Church and the 55+ Club.

Marie Kovacs
Marie (Borlodan) Kovacs, 93, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Above and Beyond Assisted Living Facility in Allentown. She was the wife of 67 years to the late Eugene Kovacs. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Mester) Borlodan. Marie worked as a waitress for many years at The College Restaurant and Walp’s Restaurant. She was a member of Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Her greatest source of pride and devotion was in her children and grandchildren. Marie had an avid zest for life and enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and sewing; all of which she selflessly shared with others.

Dorothy R. Kipila
Dorothy R. (Kish) Kipila, 88, of Fountain Hill, died peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2012 in her home. She was born September 21, 1923 and was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Hanzok) Kish. Dorothy was raised in Pottsville with her late sister Margaret Matz. After graduating from Pottsville High School, Dorothy went on to business school. Dorothy was the wife of the late John J. Kipila who passed away in 2002She was a member of St. Ursulas Church in Fountain Hill where she was a member of the Womens Guild. She was also a volunteer for the New Bethany Ministries.
Survivors: Sons, John Kipila III and his wife Donna of Macungie and Michael Kipila and his wife Mary Ann of Fountain Hill; grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Michael, Jr., and Mary Beth; great grand children, Emma and Claire. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Margaret Matz and husband Rex and two infant twin brothers.
Services: Viewing, Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Downing Funeral Home, Inc., 1002 West Broad Street, Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 11 at 10 a.m. in St. Ursulas Catholic Church preceded by a viewing in church from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Joan C. Komeski
Joan C. Komeski, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away July 4, 2012. She was the wife of the late John M. Komeski Sr. Born in Siedersville, she was the daughter of the late Russell D. Sacks and the late Helen M. (Clemens) Sacks Alex and step daughter to the late Arthur H. Alex. Joan was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. She retired as a stock control clerk from the former Uniform Supply Co. after 30 years of service.

Ellen Jane Karb
Ellen Jane Karb, 46, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Jane (Lehr) Karb and the late Anthony J. Karb. Ellen was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, attended Hiram G. Andrews Center becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and completed various Child Care courses at NCC. Ellen retired from Bethlehem Area School District Child Care after 17 years of service. She was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church through which she was involved in various retreat groups.

Ann M. Koffel
Ann Morgan Koffel, 75, of Allentown, passed away on Monday, January 30th. Born in Allentown on August 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Eileen O’Donnell Morgan. She was retired from Day-Timers, Inc. where she was employed for 14 years. She was a graduate of Liberty High School and Northampton County Area Community College.
Survivors: Companion, Lee M. Muth; Son, Charles Morgan Koffel of Tarpon Springs, FL; Daughters, Tracey Mulzet, husband of Jeffrey Mulzet of Bangor, PA; Christine Steltz of Bellingham, WA; Granddaughter, Morgan Mulzet; Sister, Maureen Young of Allentown, and Nephews, Earl, Eric and Douglas of WV, along with nine grand nieces and nephews.
Services: There will be no services, as her body has been donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia, PA.

John Kutz
John Kutz, 73 of Lower Saucon Twp. passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 in Mary Ellen Convalescent Home.
He was the husband of 50 years to Helen A. (Kascar) Kutz.
Born on October 3, 1938 in Allentown, PA to the late Stanley and Anna (Mistishen) Kutz.
John retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1992. He was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Allentown.
He was a past member of Ontalonee Rod and Gun Club and a past member of the Hellertown Sports Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and flea marketing with his wife.
