William E. Barron, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away Dec. 9, 2013. He was husband to Regina Winsko-Barron for 34 years. Born in
Thurlo Bristol, 90 of Allentown, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Her husband, the late James A. Bristol passed away February 22, 2000. Thurlo was born in Chicago on November 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Hessie and Lutie (Embry) Lee. She worked in assembly for the former Western Electric and was a former member of St. Peters UCC in Allentown. Survivors: James D. Bristol of Barto, PA; sister, Kathleen Shacket of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Brandy Poore of Greenville, SC. Predeceased by four siblings. Services: A viewing will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the Downing Funeral Home, 1002 Broad St., Bethlehem. Interment will follow services in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
Lorraine R. (Harwick) Buck, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late William Buck. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Edna (Reinhart) Harwick. Lorraine loved to travel with her family and loved her grand cats. She was a spiritual woman whose passion for reading allowed her to expand her knowledge about any subject. Survivors: Daughter, Nancy Becker of Bethlehem Twp.; brother, Frank Schuler and wife Janice, of Allentown; sister, Deborah Bainbridge and husband Ray, of Kempton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her identical twin sister, Eleanor Steiner. Services: It was Lorraines wishes to donate her body to the Philadelphia Area Medical Schools to assist them in their studies. Frances C. (Conahan) Bender, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Holy Family Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Francis P. Bender. Born in Morea, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Francis J. and Anna (Barager) Conahan. Frances attended Chestnut Hill College. She was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Golden Hillers and the St. Ursula Women’s Guild. Frances enjoyed art and oil painting.
